Latecoere among Occitanie’s most innovative companies

Latecoere stands out in the 2025 regional ranking of patent applicants published by the INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property). With 20 patent applications published in 2025, Latecoere ranks as the 9th company in Occitanie and the 4th in the aerospace sector, behind Airbus, Safran and Thales.

These efforts are translating into tangible innovations across the Group’s two areas of expertise. In aerostructures, Latecoere is developing new thermoset and thermoplastic composite solutions, notably at its Composite Development Center in Toulouse. In interconnection systems, the Group is developing new technological solutions to support the increasing electrification of aircraft, including solutions that help reduce wiring weight. Across both areas, Latecoere is also developing advanced industrialization and production processes to scale these innovations into industrial solutions.

This recognition comes in a region with a particularly dynamic innovation ecosystem. Occitanie accounts for 6.8% of French patent applications and ranks as the 3rd region in France.

This ranking reflects Latecoere’s continued efforts to develop and industrialize new technologies addressing two key challenges: supporting the aerospace industry’s production ramp-up and preparing the next generations of aircraft.
