CO₂ emissions down 10% in 2025: Latecoere remains on track for its 2030 climate target

In 2025, Latecoere’s Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions amounted to 8,510 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent, calculated in accordance with the GHG Protocol. This represents a 10% reduction compared with 2024, despite an increase in activity.

 

The reduction was driven primarily by two levers:
– Reducing energy consumption, through energy management programmes implemented across our sites.
– Increasing the share of renewable electricity, now deployed across operations in several countries, including France, the Czech Republic, Canada, Brazil, Tunisia, Morocco, Bulgaria, Belgium, the United States and India.

Climate target

This progress confirms that Latecoere remains on track towards its 2030 climate target.

In July 2023, Latecoere formally committed to reducing its Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO₂ emissions by 42% by 2030 compared with 2022, in line with the 1.5°C trajectory established by the Paris Agreement adopted at COP21 in Paris.

Turning our decarbonization roadmap into action

Our Scope 1 and Scope 2 decarbonization roadmap is built around three priorities:

1. Reduce energy consumption
Through employee training, energy audits and dedicated energy committees at our sites.

2. Increase the use of renewable energy
With electricity identified as a key lever for reducing our carbon footprint.

3.Electrify processes where possible
By progressively replacing natural gas-dependent processes with electric alternatives.

Expanding our focus to Scope 3

 Alongside our Scope 1 and Scope 2 roadmap, Latecoere is preparing its Scope 3 trajectory, with a focus on key emissions categories including purchased goods and services, waste, employee commuting, business travel and logistics.

Several initiatives are already underway:
– Measuring CO₂ emissions across our supply chain, with a dedicated evaluation tool to be integrated into purchasing dashboards.
– Recycling 100% of metallic chips generated from aluminium, titanium and steel machining.
– Limiting business travel and promoting lower-carbon alternatives where possible.
– Promoting local production close to customer needs and developing lower-carbon logistics solutions.

 

Together, these actions support the progressive decarbonization of our operations and value chain and contribute to Latecoere’s long-term climate commitments.
