On Wednesday, 1st  March, 2017, excitement was building up inside Latécoère Group’s Hermosillo site. Airbus management wanted to address the teams…

As a preamble, Gilles Morelot, Head of Electrics Procurement Airbus, said this event meant even more than celebrating the 150th harness : “Both Latécoère Group and Airbus histories are closely linked. Each time we have launched a new program, the Interconnection Systems branch has been selected to cable the plane. For us, Latécoère Group is a strategic partner mastering aerospace cabling, from conception to production.”

On behalf of Airbus, Gilles Morelot wished to thank Hermosillo’s teams for the high-quality of their products and their observance of deadlines, calling it a “fantastic work”. He underlined the importance of efforts, each day, to maintain this level of excellence.

Know-how

Responding to these words, Yannick Assouad, CEO of Latécoère Group, highlighted the collaboration with an historic day: “In 1998, LATelec was created thanks to Airbus’ help and its orders. Today, this branch has become the 2nd biggest provider of interconnection systems and the number one company in avionics racks. Airbus’ trust and volume of business are what made this achievement possible.”

“You are a great people with a skill, a will to learn and improve I find remarkable”, pursued Yannick Assouad for Hermosillo’s teams.

“Sonora’s plant, with its quality, precision and safety standards, meets international requirements” insisted Economy Secretary Jorge Vidal Ahumada. “On behalf of Governor Claudia Pavlovich, please know that we are filled with pride that a company like Airbus, that demands no less than excellence from its suppliers, recognizes before the entire world the strength of our Mexican labour force”
